Augusta’s 14th Annual Harvest Festival



 

Friday, September 16th SWINGIN’ IN THE VINES

Concert and Picnic in the Vineyards. You will ride the pumpkin Wagon to the vineyard, where your gourmet picnic basket is waiting for you. When you arrive you may go to the wine cellar for port tasting. Collect your basket and find a hay bale table and listen and dance to Michael Lacey and his New Orleans Swing Band.

Saturday, September 17th – Day – TRAVEL THE HARVEST ROAD AND HELP US CELEBRATE:

“THE ARTISANS”

“THE WINE”

“THE LIFE”

IN AUGUSTA’S WINE COUNTRY

Starts off at 10:00 am with the harvest parade. The town is filled with artisans, food and numerous activities. There will be Quilts in various areas. Show off your culinary skills and bake a pie for judging, or win one at the pie walk. Pies will be for sale. At 1:00pm the pony rides for the kids will start. Other activities will be Scavenger hunt, Sip & Paint. That is just a few of the activities. Planning in process.

Saturday, September 17th – Evening – WINE MAKERS SOCIAL

This years event is hosted by and at Noboleis Winery. Presenting the Toast to the Wine Makers will be Danene Beedle, Marketing Director of the Missouri Wine and Grape Board and the Keynote Speaker will be Catherine Neville, Editor of Feast Magazine. You will meet the Wine Makers and enjoy them talking about their wine as it is served with dinner. The dinner will consist of multi courses paired with wine from each winery. Wines have been submitted for selection and the menu is being created based on selected wines. The final menu will soon be announced.

The Harvest Festival will be a highlight event in “Historic Missouri Wine Country”. Plan a wonderful weekend getaway! Overnight lodging is available.
